Axxon One supports keeping video source's recorded footage after the device is replaced. In Axxon One, you can save the archive in case you want to replace the camera, NVR, or any other source of video signal.

To do this, do the following:

  1. Copy Delete the old video device ID and delete it from the system, but memorize its ID.
  2. Create a new device under in the system with the same ID ID (1) and bind it to the same footage old archive (2, see Adding Searching, adding, configuring and removing IP devices).

    Any other parameters of the new device may differ (make and model, ID, etc.)Device model, IP-address and any other device parameters may differ from the previous one.


If you replace NVR, the cameras must be connected to the same channels as before.

After creating swap NVRs, make sure you preserve the same order of video channels for connected cameras.
Creating a new device with the old ID makes , the previously archive recorded footage available for viewing/processing within earlier will be available in the system.
