By default, the entire FoV is a Scene analytics detection tools zoneframe is analyzed. If you need want to exclude parts of the scene prone to false alarms from detection (leavesdifficult areas in the camera FOV (foliage, water, etc.), you should set exclude areas – zone with Scene analytics detection tools and metadata generation disabledand so on) from the analysis, you must specify one or more areas where detection and metadata generation won’t be performed.

To do sothis, follow do the stepsfollowing:

  1. Select the Object Tracker object a detection tool and click the  button.
  2. In the FoV, set the nodes Set the anchor points of the closed area, in order, inside of which you want no detectionwithin which the detection won’t be performed.

    and configure the mask on a still frame/snapshot. To undo, click this button again

    • Once the area is closed, the Image Added buttons are available on its borders between the anchor points. When you click them, a new anchor point is added, allowing you to specify the most precise areas possible.

    • To delete a selected area, click the Image Added button.

  3. Specify all required areas.

  4. Click

    Deletes the area

    Once the area is closed, you will see the Image Removed buttons on the borderlines. If you click them, a new node is added. This allows you to be more flexible with zoning. 

  5. Set the required masking areas.

  6. Click the Apply button.

You have successfully created the detection zone.

Configuration of a skip area is complete. Skip areas will be relevant for all sub-tools created on the basis of the parent detection tool.
