  • Starting with DetectorPack 3.11.1, the Face detection Detection TV is no longer supported. We replaced it with the Face Detection VA. You cannot use the Face detection Detection TV and the Face Detection VA at the same time (see DetectorPack 3.11.1 Release Notes).

  • After you switch from the Face detection Detection TV to the Face Detection VA, the results of the previously recognized persons will no longer be available. If you need to save the previously recognized persons, don’t update the analytics package.

  • You cannot use the previously created cache for optimizing the operation of the Face detection Detection TV on GPU. To optimize the operation of the Face Detection VA on GPU, you must create a new cache (see Optimizing the operation of Face detection TV and the Face Detection VA on GPU in Windows OS).

To switch from the Face detection Detection TV to the Face Detection VA, do the following:

  1. Contact an AxxonSoft manager to get a new license file with the Face Detection VA support.

  2. Remove all previously created Face detection Detection TV tools from Axxon One (see Configuring detection tools and their sub-tools).

  3. Go to Control Panel → Apps → Apps & Features and uninstall DetectorPack Addon Face Recognition Pack.
  4. Install DetectorPack: Add-ons VA Face Recognition Pack v.3.11.1 (see Installing DetectorPack add-ons).

  5. Create cache for the Face Detection VA (see see Optimizing the operation of Face detection TV and the Face Detection VA on GPU in Windows OS).

  6. Create and configure the required number of the Face Detection VA tools in Axxon One (see Configuring the Face Detection VA).

Switching from the Face detection Detection TV to the Face Detection VA is complete.
