Requirements for the operation of the Face Detection VA and its sub-tools are given in the table:

- Contrast of the captured faces must be over 64 grayscale
- Insufficient or excessive lighting isn't allowed
- There must be no backlighting and sharp gradients of light and shade

| Scene and camera angle | - Maximum angle of frontal perspective of the photos of people’s faces received from cameras must not exceed +/- 15°
- Mutual faces overlapping must be minimal
