Note
titleAttention!

The Abandoned Object detection object detector can operate only with the Object Trackertracker detection tooldetector.

Before you create and configure the Abandoned Object detectionobject detector, do the following:

  1. Create the Object Trackertracker detection tool detector and set its general parameters (see Configuring the Object Trackertracker).
  2. Configure some parameters of the Object Tracker detection tool detector as follows:
    ParameterValueDescription
Auto sensitivityYesIf auto sensitivity is enabled, sensitivity adjustments for moving and abandoned objects are not applied. To apply manual sensitivity adjustments, it is necessary to disable the auto sensitivity
Long-time abandoned object detectionYesIf you enable this and the Enable filter parameter (see Configuring the Object Trackertracker), it can reduce the number of false positives during detection
Abandoned object detectionYesObjects abandoned for 10 seconds or longer will be detected
Alarm on object's max. idle time in area60

Specify the time in seconds—if the object remains idle for the time longer than the specified, it will be detected. This value must be in the range [15, 1800].

    Info
    titleNote

This parameter is used only for the Long-time abandoned object detection. It is recommended to select the parameter value starting from 15.

    Abandoned object detection sensitivity20

For this parameter to work, it is necessary to first disable the Auto sensitivity parameter.

Set the sensitivity for abandoned object detection detector and long-time abandoned object detection in the range [1, 100].

    Info
    titleNote

This parameter depends on the lighting conditions and must be chosen empirically. It is recommended to select the parameter value starting from 20.

  3. Save the detection tool detector parameters by clicking the Apply button.

To create the Abandoned object detection detector, below the Object Tracker detection tool detector, click Create...Abandoned Object.

By default, the detection tool detector is enabled and set to detect brought and abandoned objects.

If necessary, you can change the detection tool detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

Basic settings
Maximum object height100

Set the maximum height of the object that must generate an event from the detection tooldetector, as a percentage of the frame size. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]

Maximum object width100Set the maximum width of the object that must generate an event from the detection tool detector, as a percentage of the frame size. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]
Minimum object height0,1Set the minimum height of the object that must generate an event from the detection tooldetector, as a percentage of the frame size. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]
Minimum object width0,1Set the minimum width of the object that must generate an event from the detection tooldetector, as a percentage of the frame size. The value must be in the range [0.05, 100]
Note
titleAttention!

In the settings of the Object Tracker detection tool detector and the Abandoned Objectobject sub-tool, the values of the maximum and minimum height and width of the object must be equal.
