There is the update server (installation type is Server (Administrator's workplace)) that distributes the version for the update, and the client (installation type is Client (Workstations))that are dependent servers that receive the version from the update server and install it. In addition, the Update ServiceUpdate manager program is installed to manage the updates together with the update server. Thus, you need to select the distributor server and install the Server (Administrator's workplace) on it, and install the Client (Workstations) on the servers that need to be automatically updated. After installation, you need to configure the update server and the clients—see Configuring the update server (distributor) in the Update Servicemanager and Configuring the Client client (receiver).

Principle of operation

Once configured, it works as follows:
