Purpose

The Event viewer is used to display data on events registered by the system (with the possibility of data filtering by event type).

Functions

The Event viewer viewer has the following functions:

  1. Showing Display of the list of all events registered in the system.

  2. Showing Display of the list of events registered in the system according to the preset filter.

  3. Showing data on a displayed Display the follwoing information about an event: event source, event name, sectionregion, date and time of event registration, and additional information on the event.
  4. Forming and printing a report on registered events.
  5. Switching Go to the location of the event source location on the Map.
  6. Playing back Playback of the video from the source camera in the child window of the Event event viewer.

Interface description

The interface of the Event viewer window is shown in the figure.

All displayed events are listed in the event table depending on the selected filters.

The Show filters checkbox displays the list of event filters created when configuring the system (see Configuring event filters for displaying in the Event viewer). To activate the filter, set the checkbox next to its name. Several filters can be activated at the same You can activate several filters at a time.

Events of different types are highlighted in different colors depending on the system settings.

The icon next to the event source shows the information on the event. For example, for the Camera event source object, the following icons are used in the Event event viewer:

  1. The icon is displayed for the Record on disk stopped, Alarm end, Hard disk rec, and Record off events.
  2. The icon is displayed for the Alarm and Armed events.
  3. The icon is displayed for the Disarmed event.

For every event in the table there is a function context menu that you can access by right-clicking the line with the name of the corresponding event in the table. The particular items of the function menu depend on the event source object type. For example, the function menu of the Camera type event source object is shown in the figure.
 

The Clear button is used to clear the list of events in the Event event viewer.
