The layout defines determines the number and location of surveillance windows on the video surveillance monitor. To You can change the location of surveillance windows on the monitor, drag them with video surveillance monitor using the mouse. The operator can compose custom window layouts if he (she) is given If the operator has permissions to control the Monitor object, they can create custom layouts of surveillance windows.

To control the layout, use menu, called up by the Screens button on the video monitor tools panelthe menu that you can open by clicking the Displays button on the toolbar of the video surveillance monitor.

Creating and deleting layouts

To develop create a new layout, do the following:

  1. Click the Screens Displays button on the video surveillance monitor.
  2. Select the Add option in the menu.
  3. Enter the name of the new layout in a dialog boxthe window that opens.

Then a new layout will appear appears in the layout list.

To select a layout, click its name in the list. To delete an existing layout, use the Delete option in the menu command.

If the Overlay 1 mode is chosen enabled during the system setup, and the video surveillance monitor displays six surveillance windows, the surveillance windows layout cannot be changed.

Changing the location of surveillance windows on the video surveillance monitor with the mouse can also be prohibited by the DisableReplaceCam registry key – see key—see Registry keys reference guide.

The Add and Delete functions may not be available options can be unavailable depending on the user permissions (see see Limiting access to administration, control, and monitoring).

The Screens menu Displays menu also allows assigning default layouts. The default layout will be is displayed when you start Axxon PSIM is launched. Use the UseDefaultLayoutOnlyAtStartup registry key to display the default layout each time the corresponding screen with the Video video surveillance monitor is displayed (see Registry Keys Reference Guidekeys reference guide).

Select Screens - Set by default, then To select a default layout to be set , go to Displays Set by default.

The default layout is highlighted in bold in the list.
