Recording to archive In Axxon PSIM,archive recording is performed on a loop in Axxon PSIM loop (see the General information on video archiving section). ThereforeDue to this, old archive recordings can be replaced by new ones. But sometimes it is required to protect important recordings from loop recording. In such case, permissions to protect files from rewriting are neededTherefore, by default, the Operator has the right to protect these files from overwriting.

Protected files are moved to the PROTECTED folder in the VIDEO folder on the disk with the archive. When the you remove file is deprotectedprotection, it is moved back to the folder from which it was taken ( if it still exists). If you have already removed this folder was removed because of since all files in it were rewrittenoverwritten, then the file will stay remains in the PROTECTED folder but wonisn't be displayed in the Monitorsurveillance monitor. Later, this file will be is deleted by loop recording.

Give permissions to protect To limit the rights for protecting archive files from rewriting as followsoverwriting, do the following:

  1. Go to the Users tab in the System settings dialog box window (1).

  2. In the objects tree located under the User permissionsrights button in the Users tab, select the same-name object corresponding to the Operator access permissions rights, which should must be changed (2).
    The settings panel of the User permissions object will display on rights object is displayed in the right part of the System settings dialog box window.
  3. To allow the operator to protect archive files from rewriting, set the Clear the Allow protecting files from overwriting checkbox (3) . Don't set this checkbox if the operator should Operator must not have this permission.To allow the operator to disable protection of files protected from rewriting, set the the ability to protect files from overwriting.
  4. Clear the Allow removing file protection checkbox (4) . Don't set this checkbox if the operator should Operator must not have this permissionthe ability to remove file protection.
  5. Click the Apply button (5).
