To configure the search in the captions searchdatabase, specify the following parameters:

  1. Search depth – the captions Default search depth—sets the captions search depth.
  2. Highlight found words – the option for highlighting the found words words—highlights the found word with a specified color in the search results.
  3. Video source – select selects an archive from which you want to receive the video data is received: the main archive or the backup archiveone.

To specify the captions search parameters in the captions database, do the following:

  1. Enter Set the archive search depth of the captions database by entering the required value in the Default search depth (days) field (1).

  2. To enable highlighting of If you want to highlight found words with a specified color, double-left-click the Highlight found words color box field and select the required color in the standard Windows color selection box dialog window that opens (2).

  3. From the Video source drop-down list, select an archive from which you want to receive the video data is displayed as to display the search results: the main video server main archive or the backup archive (3).

    If you select the backup archive is selected as the Video video source, and not all cameras have records in it, then only the search results for cameras that have records in the backup archive will be are displayed.

    If there is no backup archive for all cameras, but you select it is selected as the Video video source, the archive from the video server for all cameras is used by default.

  4. Click the Apply button (4).

The captions Specifying the search parameters are now configuredin the captions database is complete.
