The number of PTZ devices connected to the Server server is specified in the license key bundled along with the Axxon PSIMdistribution kit.  

Every Each PTZ device in Axxon PSIM has the corresponding corresponding PTZ device systemobject in Axxon PSIM. The PTZ device object is a child object to the Telemetry Controller object.

The PTZ device configuration involves selection includes the stages of selecting the camera equipped with a by the PTZ device and setting PTZ MAC hardware addresses. When you use the absolute telemetry is in use, you will also have to configure points calibration (see Configuring calibration of points in camera FoV)., the calibration setup is required, see Configuring points calibration in the camera FOV.

Configure several PTZ devices Several PTZ devices are configured one after another.

To configure the PTZ devicesdevice, do the following:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the setting panel of Axxon PSIMof the System settings dialog window (1).
  2. Create a the PTZ device object under on the basis of the Telemetry controllerController system object, or select the relevant corresponding object in the object tree in on the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog box window (2).

  3. Specify When you create the PTZ device object, you must specify the ID, the the object name of the PTZ device object and select the Telemetry controllerController object to which the PTZ device is connected (3).

  4. Select the ID of the camera equipped with a by the PTZ device (4).
  5. Select the name of the camera equipped with a by the PTZ device (5).

  6. In the Presets table, set the checkboxes checked next to the names of presets that are to be displayed on you want to display in the Telemetry control panel (see the Configuring the telemetry control panel section). Change the preset's name if necessary (6).

  7. Set minimal and maximal In the Zooming group (8), set the minimum and maximum speed of the optical zoom in standard conventional units for the PTZ device in .

  8. In the Zooming Mouse group (8).Set minimal and maximal 9), set the minimum and maximum rotation speed in standard conventional units for the PTZ device while mouse control when controlling from the Monitor in the Mouse surveillance monitor with the mouse.

  13. In the Device address field (12), you must specify the hardware Specify the MAC address of the PTZ device in the Device address field. The PTZ MAC hardware address corresponds to the address set on the PTZ device with the help of using jumpers or configured while programming when you program the PTZ device in with the bundled software (12).
  14. If you want to disable the continuous PTZ mode (Continuous Mode) is to be disabledcontrol mode, set the the Force disabling continuous PTZ mode checkbox checked (13).

  15. To save the changes, click the Apply button (14).
