Video signals can be scaled groomed before they are copied to a backup archive of the Backup archive module. Scaling Grooming is performed at the Server from which the video signal is transmitted to the Backup archive.

Scaling Grooming in the Backup archive may be performed with such codecs as MJPEG, Motion Wavelet, MPEG, H264 and MxPeg. If the scaling grooming rate is 25 fps, the videois video is processed at a lower rate for the first minute (~12 fps). The maximum allowable scaling grooming rate for MxPeg codec is 12 fps. |
By default, a signal is copied from the server to the Backup archive without scalinggrooming.
To configure the scaling grooming of video archive frames while copying them to the Backup archive, do the following:
- Go to the settings panel for the Backup archive system object.
- To enable the video archive scalinggrooming, set the Record with ___ fps checkbox in the Settings group (1).
In the Record with ___ fps drop-down list, select the required frame rate of video archive for transmitting to the Backup archive (12).
Info title Note. The selected Record with ___ fps value is to be less than frame rate of video signal digitized by a video capture card. Otherwise the frame rate of a video signal will be the same as the frame rate of digitizing. Info title Note. The selected framerate frame rate value of the video archive that is to be transferred to the Backup archive is an average value. A real value of framerate frame rate may be different from that one, indicated in the Record with ___ fps drop-down list. - To save the changes, click the Apply button (23).
Video scaling grooming is now configured.
