The user can create and edit queries in the receipts database. This is an optional function in addition to system setup.
Warning! The user query in the Receipt viewer window will be created and processed, only if the receipts parser has been set up (see the Setting up the parser (optional) section).
Query editor provides the following functions:
- Creating and editing the list of queries. The parameters can be imported from a text file (POS query file) or using the built-in functions.
- Search for a query in the list.
- Export query parameters into a file or other Receipt viewer objects.

- Click the Import button.
Open a query file in the standard Windows file open dialog box.
Info title Note. We We recommend importing the list of queries from the <Intellect program folder>\Modules\queries_eng.txt file included in the Intellect installation kit. - If the file loads successfully, the list of available queries will be displayed in the Query list area.

- Select a query in the Query list
Click the “…” button.
Info title Note. Or double-click the query name instead of clicking the “…” button. - Enter a new name for the query in the dialog box that opens.
- Click OK.

The query will be deleted from the list.

Use SQL templates while editing the text of the query. Click the Macro button and select an item from the list that opens (Figure 6.5—24).

To save changes and close the Query editor window, click OK.
