INTELLECT™ software performs audio signal archiving In Axxon PSIM, audio signals are written to the local disks of the server, network disks, net disks and and USB disks.

In synchro Audio files created in the synchronous audio and video recording mode , audio recording files are stored together with video recordings videos in the "Video" VIDEO folder(s). SoThus, selecting the disks for audio recording storage in synchro recording mode storing audio recordings that are created synchronously with video recordings is equivalent to selecting the disks for storing video recording storage. For description of the procedure, see recordings. This procedure is described in the relevant section of this Guide. In sound activated recording mode, audio recording files documentation (see Select disks for video archive storage). Audio files created using audio triggers are stored in the " AUDIO " folder separately from the video recording archive.

By default, no HDD is listed  for the sound activated audio recording storage, hence, sound activated recording is unavailable. To enable the sound activated recording, select one or more disksthe server's hard disk isn't specified for storing audio recordings created using audio triggers, so recording on audio triggers isn't possible.

Note
titleImportantAttention!

If audio recording is activated by sound – not performed in synchro record mode – then disks different from those for recording video are to be selectedis recorded on an audio trigger and not in the synchronous audio and video recording mode, then the disks you selected for recording audio must be different from those you selected for recording video.

 Use

We recommend using disks with the NTFS file system for storing the archive. If you use the FAT32 file system

there can be problems caused by this system,

DiskYou can select disk(s) selection is done for archive storage in one of the following ways:

  1. Estimate the disk capacity , necessary for audio archive storage in the sound activated modestoring audio created on audio triggers. The estimation technique method is similar to the one used method for estimating the video archive amount of disk space required for recording a video archive (see Free disk space (video archive size) required).
  2. Go to the Computer object settings panel .Select of the Computer object on the Hardware tab in the objects tree. The settings panel of the selected object appears in the right part of the Hardware tab.

  3. The local disk names, available for audio archiving, are presented listed in the the Disk column of the Archive storage disks  disks table (1). The GB column contains the relevant disks' capacities in gigabytes (GB). Select the disks for audio archiving and make sure that the total selected disk capacity is sufficient.
  4. Set the checkmarks checkboxes in the Audio column for (2) next to the selected disks names (2). Local, network, net and USB disks are available for storingstorage.
  5. To add a net network disk via UNC  UNC paths, do the following:
    1. Go to the last line in the disk list and click the down key.

    2. Enter In the Disk column, enter a path to a net network disk in the appeared line. The UNC path is set in the format « \\server_name\share_name»name, where «serverserver_name» name is the name of the file server and «shareshare_name» name is the net network name of the general folder.
    3. Set a checkbox in the Audio Video column for the created disk.
  6. Click the Apply button (3).
