Create You can create IP devices in the INTELLECT™ software Axxon PSIM as follows:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab tab (1) in the System settings dialog box (1).

  2. In the object tree, select the Camera object Computer object (2) corresponding to the configured Server (2)server.
  3. Click the Camera discovery tool button (3) on the setting settings panel of the selected object (3).

    As a result the IP Wizard window is displayed, the Camera discovery tool window opens. Found IP devices are displayed on at the top of the window.

    Video capture cards can also be displayed in the list. However, it is strongly NOT recommended to add we highly do not recommend adding them to the configuration from using the IP Wizard Camera discovery tool window. Configure You can configure video capture cards manually as described in , see Configuring video capture cards in INTELLECT™ softwarein Axxon PSIM.

    By default, the list also displays the found archive devices that are no longer supported in the installed Drivers Pack version. If you don't want to display such devices, create the UseObsoleteAttribute registry key with the 1 value (see Registry keys reference guide).

    Click column name to To sort devices by value in the column. Data are in the Camera discovery tool window, click the name of the corresponding column. The data is sorted alphabetically, including IP addresses. For example, when you sort IP addresses are sorted in ascending order, 10.0.12.98 is lower than 10.0.12.252 in the list.

  4. If the required device is not isn't displayed in the list, try clicking click the Search button (1). Wait for the list is updatedto update, as the device search can take several seconds.. If you click the Search button again during the search, the current search is stopped and a new search is started.

    If necessary, you can increase the wait time for a response from the device by setting the additional time in milliseconds in the parameter of the AdditionalSearchTime registry key (see Registry keys reference guide. For more information on working with the registry, see Working with Windows OS registry).

  5. Check the correctness of the brand Check up the vendor (2), model (3), and firmware (4) for the found IP device. Make changes if necessary If necessary, make changes by opening the corresponding dropdown drop-down list and selecting the required value.
  6. From the drop-down list (5), select which settings which should must be installed set on the IP -device while its adding device when you add it to the device hardware tree: leave installed the specified device settings or apply video server settings.
  7. Check up the TCP/IP port (8). Specify If necessary, specify the required value in the field.
  8. Specify the login (6) and password (7) to connect the IP device. Login and password are specified in the documentation for the connected network device.
  9. If necessary, add additional information to the beginning of the names of created objects (for example, the path where the object is located). Enter the value in the Added string field (12). You can use Latin and Cyrillic letters and service characters except for the > and < symbols; characters limit is 60 including the length of the object name, which is set by default. The setting will be applied to the objects which you can select in the next step.
  10. Select the objects that are to be created under you want to create on the basis of the IP device.

    1. Open Expand the dropdown list of objects supported by the IP device by clicking the Image Removed button + button.

    2. Set the checkboxes for next to the objects that are you want to be createdcreate.

      To To create/delete all objects, set the checkbox checked/unchecked /clear the checkboxes next to the vendor brand of the IP device.

  11. Click the Apply button for each selected device (9) for one device or (10) if several devices are checkedor for all selected devices (11).
    The selected objects are created automatically in the Hardware object tree on the Hardware tab. 
     

  12. Repeat steps 4-8 for each IP device that is you want to be created create in the system.

    To delete the IP - device from the IP Wizard window right – Camera discovery tool window, right-click the corresponding line in the table and select the Delete camera <IP address> from the list item. To delete the an IP - device object or objects created under on the basis of it from the hardware tree by means of the IP Wizard, set Camera discovery tool, clear the checkboxes unchecked for the corresponding objects and click the Apply button.

  13. If the IP device has not been isn't found, then you can add it manually.

  14. Specify the IP address of device in the IP address field (11).
  15. Specify the number of TCP/IP port in the Port field (12).
  16. Select the vendor of IP device in the Vendor dropdown list (13).
    1. From the Brand, Model, and Firmware drop-down lists, select the brand, model, and firmware installed on the IP device (13-15).
    2. In the IP address and Port fields (16, 17), specify the IP address of the device and the number of the TCP/IP port
  17. Select the model of IP device in the Model dropdown list (14)
