The Incident server is used for storing events that need to must be processed using the Incident handler. By default, the Incident server events are stored in the PROTOCOL_INC_SERVER table of the Axxon PSIM database. The event storage depth is set using the settings panel of the Computer object (see Configuration of event logging).

You can enable the database logging of the query execution duration of the Incident server module using the LogDbQueryDuration=1 parameter of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\AxxonSoft\PSIM\Inc_Server registry key (for more details, see Axxon PSIM base version, for information on how to work with the registry, see Working with Windows OS registry).

The The Incident handler is used for selecting the events to that must be processed , and for configuring the processing rules for the Operatoroperator.

Both of these modules are required for the Incident manager interface object operation — using the Incident manager, the Operator operation—the operator can process events according to the specified rules by using this object.

The To configure the Incident server and the Incident handlerare configured as follows,do the following:

  1. Create the Incident server and Incident handler objects (see 2 Creating the Incident server object, 2 Creating the Incident handler object).
  2. Select the events to be handled (see 2 Selecting events to display and handleConfigure the logic of event handling (see Creating and configuring event handling logic).
  3. Set the event priority (see 2 Setting the events priority).Configure the event handing logic (see 2 Creating and configuring the logic of event handling
  4. Select the events that must be handled (see Selecting events to display and handle).
  5. Configure the display of logic (see 2 Configuring the display of logic).
  6. If you want to use the non-default database to store events, set the connection settings to the required database (see Configuring the use of an external database).
