Axxon One supports keeping video source's recorded footage after the device is replaced. In Axxon One, you can save an archive in case you want to replace a camera, NVR, or any other source of video signal.
To do this, do the following:
- Go to the Devices tab.
- Delete the required device, but before deleting, memorize its identifier from the ID field Copy the old video device ID and delete it from the system
- .
Create a new device
under in the system. Specify the same
ID (1) and bind it to the same footage archive (2, see Adding identifier in the ID field and an old archive in the Bind to the archive field (see Searching, adding, configuring, and removing IP devices).
Note title Attention! - Device model, IP address, and any other device parameters can differ from the previous one.
- If you replace NVR, cameras must be connected to the same channels as before.
- Click the Apply button.
Any other parameters of the new device may differ (make and model, ID, etc.).
After you create If you swap NVRs, make sure you preserve the same order of video channels for connected cameras.
Creating a new device with the old ID makes , the previously archive recorded footage available for viewing/processing within earlier will be available in the system.
