By default, the entire FoV is a Scene analytics detection tools zoneframe is analyzed. If you need want to exclude parts of the scene prone to false alarms from detection (leavesdifficult areas in the camera FOV (foliage, water, etc.), you should set exclude areas – zone with Scene analytics detection tools and metadata generation disabledand so on) from the analysis, you must specify one or more areas where detection and metadata generation won’t be performed.
To do sothis, follow do the stepsfollowing:
- Select the Object Tracker object
- a detector and click the button.
- In the FoV, set the nodes of the closed area, in order, inside of which you want no detection
- surveillance window, click the mouse button.
- Select Ignore area in the list.
Set the anchor points of the area within which the detection won’t be performed.

- When you set anchor points, they are connected by a two-color
dotted line which outlines - dashed line outlining the border of the area

- For convenience of configuration, you can
click - "freeze" the frame. Click the
button and configure the mask on a still frame/snapshot. To undo, click this button again- button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
Once the area is closed, the buttons are available on its borders between the anchor points. When you click them, a new anchor point is added, allowing you to specify the most precise areas possible.
To delete a selected area, click the button.

Deletes the area
Once the area is closed, you will see the buttons on the borderlines. If you click them, a new node is added. This allows you to be more flexible with zoning.
You have successfully created the detection zone.

To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.
Configuration of the ignore area is complete. Ignore areas are relevant for all sub-detectors created on the basis of the parent detector.
