Purpose

The Video The video surveillance monitor is used for displaying and managing the Surveillance the surveillance windows. The Surveillance windows display video from the specified Camerascameras.

Functions

The Video video surveillance monitor implements the following functions:

  1. Display of images from the video surveillance cameras.
  2. Manage Control of the surveillance modes.
  3. Graphically process the images from the video surveillance cameras.
  4. Graphic processing of video images coming from cameras
  5. Management of Manage video recording from the video surveillance cameras.
  6. Work with video archives.
  7. Display video of information about camera status data.

Interface description

The figure shows the Video the video surveillance monitor interface.

The Video video surveillance monitorwindow consists of a field for displaying the Surveillance the surveillance windows and the toolbar above it with the following items:

  1. The buttons are used to change the number of the displayed Surveillance surveillance windows on the Video video surveillance monitor.

    You can determine the video image size after decompression in the video surveillance monitor using the Decompressor.TrueResize parameter of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AxxonSoft\Axxon PSIM\Video registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).

  3. The buttons are used to switch the Surveillance surveillance windows.
  4. The field displays the current time and date.

    You can change the format for displaying the archive date and time. To do this, go to the security zone object on the Date and time format tab (see The Settings panel of the Security zone object). After you select the required format, you must restart Axxon PSIM.

    If the Debug mode is enabled in Axxon PSIM (see The Debug window), then information about the transmitted video stream is displayed instead of the date and time (see Frame rate settings).

Every Surveillance Every surveillance window has a function menu to access such functions as arming and disarming video the camera, image processing, management of video recording managing, frame exporting and printing, etcand so on. The Surveillance surveillance window can also display the Buttons for buttons for performing the specified actions when you click them:

Left-click the video camera number in the Surveillance the surveillance window to display the function menu (see the figure below).
 

When hovering you hover the mouse cursor over the control elements in the Video video surveillance monitor, the tooltips are displayed. The period of their display can be set using the TT_INITIAL and TT_AUTOPOP registry keys parameters of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AxxonSoft\Axxon PSIM\Video registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).

By default, pressing Tab redirects the user to the main archive of the Serverserver. If the user should be redirected you want to switch to the external archive, it is necessary to you must use the EnterEdgeStorageDirect parameter of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AxxonSoft\Axxon PSIM\Video registry key (see Registry keys reference guide)

Operations with individual frames

Ctrl + E—behaviour —behavior depends on the state of the camera. If the camera is not in the archive , or is in the archive but paused, the frame is exported. Otherwise, the video is exported. When the video is exported, the exported frames are played back.

Increase image contrast

Maximum contrast is set. To return to the previous value, press the hotkeys key combination again
