Bookmark A bookmark is several protected or not protected video records videos for the specified period. To create a bookmark for the , that is, to protect videos recorded over a specified period, click the 
button. The Create bookmark window will openopens.

The  button button is not displayed if you don't select a disk for record is not selected (see Administrator's Guide, Selecting the recording (see Select disks for video archive storage). |
The list of cameras added to the Monitor video surveillance monitor is displayed in the left part of the window. Move cameras on which records are to be bookmarked whose videos you want to protect to the Selected cameras list using the >> button.

In the Period from and to fields, specify the time period during which archive records by selected cameras are to be bookmarkedfor which a bookmark must be created for the selected cameras.
In the Comment field, enter a comment, e.g. reason of for example, the reason for a bookmark creation.

You can set the Bookmark span limit in hours is set using (hours) using the BookmarkMaxLen registry key (see see Registry keys reference guide). If the selected period is longer than the bookmark span limit, then the OK button is disabled and the warning on the limit is highlighted in red. Shorten To create a bookmark, shorten the period so that it would not doesn't go over the limit to create a bookmark.
The Color field field is used to select the color that in which the created bookmark will be marked in Video is highlighted in the video surveillance monitor (on the time scale and in the list of video recordings - see videos and on the timeline)—see Archive navigation using the timeline and Navigation in the list of videos).
The Enable archive protection checkbox allows protection of archive records when creating bookmarksyou to protect archive videos when you create a bookmark. Changing the value of this parameter may not can be available unavailable if the BookmarkProtectArchive key is created in the registry (see the see Registry keys reference guide).
When After you fill out all required fields are filled, enter click the OK button button to create a bookmark video records for the specified period.
If the Enable archive protection checkbox is selectedset, the protected videos will be are marked in red in the list in the Video Surveillance Monitorvideo surveillance monitor, and the protected video files will be videos are moved to the PROTECTED folder in the VIDEO folder on the archive disk. If this check box checkbox is not selectedclear, then files are not protected, and they can be subsequently deleted while during loop recordingoverwriting.
