lifecycle phases

The repository of the software source code repository is divided into 3 three branches:

  • trunk − current —current changes;
  • stabilization − preparation —preparation of a new release;
  • release − the —the latest official release.

During the development process, all new software features are added to the trunk branch.

After reaching the Feature Complete status, all changes from the trunk branch are moved to the stabilization branch.
