To check productivity of video processingwork with the fps.exe utility, do the following:

  1. Start Run the fps.exe utility (see Starting and shutting down the fps.exe utility).
  2. Select the video source.
  3. Set the check checkup parameters.
  4. Run the check checkup and read into its results.

Selecting the video source

The video source can be either an archive file or a directly the video server archive recorded on specific camerasby the set cameras can be the video source for the performance checkup.

If the video source is an archive file, select it as follows:

To emulate the template set of frames, don't fill in the Path field.

To select the video source file, do the following:

  1. Click the Path button.
  2. Select the File value from the drop-down list.
  3. Click File and then double click the required file in the Windows standard Open box (1).

  4. In the Open Windows standard dialog window that appears, use the double mouse click to select the required file.

Set To set the parameters of performance check as followsthe performance checkup, do the following:

  1. Activate Compression To check checkbox to check how many fps  frames per time unit can be compressed by the given computer can compress , set the Check compression (1) checkbox.

Running the checkup and reading results

To start testing the performance of the video processing, click the Start buttonClick the Start button to run video processing tester (1).

As a result, the Statistics field displays the parameters of the video processing productivity will bedisplayed in the title bar of the utility window (2)performance.
