The system log is a log containing system information on events, including system error entries.

The system System log is stored in a the local database for each server by default. You can set access to the system log for a user group in the the Users tab under Settings (see the section titled General information about users Role).

By default, metadata Metadata files are stored in Server's metadata databasethe metadata storage in the local directory of the server. The metadata storage path is set during the the Axxon One installation(see Installation). If necessary, you can place metadata on any available in the network storage.

To configure the data storage of the system log and metadata, do the following:

  1. Go to Settings  Options (1) Options Data storage (2).

  2. Set the required parameter settings that are specified in the table:

  14. In the Cleanup period field, enter the amount of hours after which outdated events will be purged from the system log (4). Outdated events are events that have been stored in the system log for a period greater than that indicated in the previous step.

    The metadata database can be stored on NAS if necessary (by default, it is located locally as set during Installation). Do the following:

    Metadata storage path

    By default, the metadata storage is placed locally, the path is set during the installation (see Installation). To place the database in the network storage, you must specify the path to the storage.
