By default, the entire frame is analyzed. If you want to exclude difficult areas in the camera FOV (foliage, water, and so on) from the analysis, you must specify one or more areas where detection and metadata generation won’t be performed.

To do this, do the following:

  1. Select a
  2. detection tool
  3. detector and click the
  4.  
  5. Image Modified button.
  6. In the surveillance window, click the mouse button.
  7. Select Ignore area in the list.
  8. Set the anchor points of the

  12. within which the detection won’t be performed.

    • Depending on the detector being configured, the area can be either rectangular or polygonal.
    • When you set anchor points, they are connected by a two-color dashed line outlining the border of the area.
    • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the Image Modified button. To cancel the action, click this button again.

    • Image Added buttons are available on its borders between the anchor points. When you click them, a new anchor point is added, allowing you to specify the most precise areas possible.

  18. Click the Apply Image Modified button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel Image Modified button.

Configuration of a skip the ignore area is complete. Skip Ignore areas will be are relevant for all sub-tools detectors created on the basis of the parent detection tooldetector.
