By default, the video stream is recorded to the archive with the same frame rate as the video capture card digitizes it. Thus, to reduce the archive size, the frame rate can be configuredin Axxon PSIM, you can configure the value of this parameter.

The reduction change of the video recording stream frame rate does not doesn't affect the displaying of the video video signal that is displayed on the Server server surveillance monitor and its transmission transmitted to the Remote Workstations remote workstations by the network.

To change the recording frame rate of the video stream, do the following:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog box (1) window.
  2. Select the Camera object corresponding to the required camera in the objects tree (2). The settings panel for the selected object is displayed on the right of the Hardware tab.  object tree that corresponds to the adjusted camera.
  3. Select the Go to the Basic settings tab on the settings panel of the Camera object (3).

  4. Specify Set the recording frame rate value in of the Recording frame rate field (4). The value is not to _fps parameter. This value mustn't exceed the digitization frame rate value.

    The value set for the the Recording frame rate_fps parameter allows calculating the time interval (msec) in which a frame is to must be captured to be stored in the for archive . The calculation is made recording. You can calculate according to the formula:
    Interval Time interval = 1000 / Value specified in the Recording frame rate _fps field
