  • For the Tag&Track Pro feature to work, the PTZ camera in Axxon One must support absolute positioning (telemetry using absolute coordinates). For the current list of compatible devices, see see Documentation Drivers Pack.

  • If the PTZ camera doesn’t have embedded support for absolute telemetry, you must enable it via the ONVIF protocol, which must also support absolute coordinates. Please contact the device manufacturer for information on ONVIF support for this functionality.

  • You cannot use fisheye cameras with the Tag&Track Pro feature.
  • You cannot use Tag&Track Pro and OnScreen PTZ mode simultaneously (see Controlling a PTZ camera in the OnScreen PTZ mode).

  1. Arrange cameras so that their fields of view are directed downwards onto the surface (floor, ground) on which objects are moving. This ensures stable and accurate tracking.
  2. Direct the overview and PTZ cameras that you use in the same direction and position them close to each other. If you position the cameras too far apart from each other, it can lead to different interpretations of the scene and failures in the algorithm operation.
  3. For all objects from the overview camera, the corresponding pan coordinates (rotation of the camera left and right without change in its position) must be in the range from 0° to 180° or from -180° to 0°.
  4. Configure theFor each of these cameras, configure the detector: Object tracker, or Neural tracker for each of these cameras, Human tracker VL, or Motion detector. You cannot use other detectors. The operation of this feature requires metadata (see Metadata database).

    For Tag&Track Pro to work on the basis of the Motion detector, in the Object tracking parameter of the detector, select the Yes value (see Configuring the Motion detector).


  5. Enable Object tracking in the surveillance window of each selected camera on the layout.

  6. Connect overview cameras to the PTZ camera and configure calibration (see PTZ).
  7. Select the control mode of the PTZ camera in the Priority parameter and, if necessary, set the duration of the camera focus on one object in the Switch Frequency parameter (see PTZ).
