Before installation, we strongly recommend that you read the restrictions on names of servers and computers in Axxon One (see Limitations of Axxon One in Linux OS). |
To install the Axxon One Server server manually, do the following:
Add the repositories by sequentially running the following commands:

add - && sudo apt-get update- Download the necessary archive with packages to install Axxon One: https://www.axxonsoft.com/support/downloads/axxon-one-vms. You need either Server or Failover Server
- server from the Linux 64-bit.deb section. The difference between Server and Failover server is described in General information about installation in Linux OS.
The archive contains all necessary packages to install the Server - server:

- Download video analytics packages if you plan to use them: https://www.axxonsoft.com/support/downloads/detector-pack (the Add-ons list in the Linux 64-bit.deb section).
- Unzip the downloaded files.
- Install DriverPack, DetectorPack and additional packages (if available) using the following command:

Serverserver and the Failover
Serverserver.
- During the Axxon One Server installation, the installer will request the name of the domain for the Axxon One Server
- server. If you leave this field blank, you can later specify it on the Client
- client at the first connection.
- If necessary, you can change the Server
- server configuration after installation (see Changing the configuration of the Axxon One Server in Linux OS).
Installation is complete.
