The calculation results for a Client contain Operator's workstation (Client) contain the information about the total incoming stream to be displayed stream for viewing and about the server specifications. In order to To view the calculation results for a Client, select the type of calculation Operator's workstation (see Selecting the type of calculation).

The results of the selection of hardware platforms may vary both upward and downward in the hardware configuration, depending on the used camera model, camera settings, image exposure, and parameters of video stream decoding for display. If you use additional objects, it can increase the hardware configuration.

titleNote

The bitrate values used for streams calculation are for informational purposes only. For an accurate calculation of camera bitrate, use the camera manufacturer's calculator. A list of known calculation programs is displayed in the Vendor's calculator drop-down list in the top menu of the Calculator.

As for the Server, both AxxonSoft partners' solutions and and Server specifications are calculated. The same actions can be performed actions are available with the calculation results , including adding a platform to calculation, exporting to xls, etc. — see Calculation results for Axxon Next and Intellect Client.as when calculating the Server—see Platform calculation results for Server and Server with viewing client.

Consider the following features when calculating the platform for ClientOperator's workstation:

  1. At least one stream should must be selected as intended for View for Viewing for platform calculation of the Client. The Client is calculated based on such streams only (see Selecting the cameras).
  2. The results of the selection of the maximum number of cameras on the layout can vary both both upward and downward in the maximum number of cameras that can be displayed simultaneously on the client's monitors, depending on the camera model used, camera settings, image exposure, resolution and number of monitors used.
  3. If View type is selected for several streams of the same camera, then it is supposed that GreenStream is used on the Client, and the number of cameras on the layout is calculated by the minimum resolution among those intended for View
  4. You can add a platform by analogy to the platform calculation—for details, see Adding a platform for calculation by analogy.
  5. You can export the calculation results to an XLS file—for details, see Export calculation results to xls.

When you turn on the Use NVIDIA GPU decoding switch (see Decoding on Nvidia GPU for Operator’s workstation), the table with recommended GPUs is also displayed:

Recommendations for selecting GPUs for display

For the Operator's workstation (Client), it is sufficient to use an NVIDIA GeForce GT520 / Intel HD Graphics 530 graphics card (integrated into a 6th generation Intel Core processor) or a higher-performance GPU.

For hardware accelerated video decoding (Intel Quick Sync), use the graphics card built into some Intel processors (for example, Intel HD Graphics 530 built into the 6th generation Intel Core processor). This technology allows for faster and more energy efficient processing of video content. For more information on Intel Quick Sync Technology, see the product documentation.
