Axxon PSIM software is compatible with IP devices of video and audio input of the following vendors: Axis, Panasonic, Sony, Arecont Vision and others.

Info
titleNote.
The updated The current list of the IP devices compitable compatible with Axxon PSIM system and the range of IP device’s device functionalities supported by  the Axxon PSIM system are at the company’s site in the Integration section: http://www.axxonsoft.com/products/axxon_enterprise/core_functionality/integration.php.

Number of IP devices connected to one Server depends on TCP/IP network bandwidth (see Requirements for TCP/IP Network section) and functions performed on the basis of these devices.   For instance, virtual memory consumption (for video.run process) increases when VMDA detectors detection tools are in use used (see Configuring smart video detection tools section). One camera with a configured VMDA detector detection tool can use 30-40 Mb MB (depending on camera resolution) of virtual memory. At most 2 Gb By default, not more than 2 GB of virtual memory is allocated for the video.run process. Enable 64-bit modules if more than 25 Tracker objects are to be used on one Server , if you need to connect to one Server more than 25 IP cameras with the configured VMDA detection tools with video resolution higher than 800x600, use 64-bit modules (see the Configuring the use of using 64-bits bit modules section).

In some cases, it is necessary to enable the synchronization of the Server and IP device time (if the device supports this setting):

  1. In some cases (for example, if there is no video from the device), when connecting the camera using via the ONVIF protocol, it may be necessary to synchronize the time and the time zone between the Server and the device.
  2. For the Axxon PSIM operation with the embedded IP device storage, it is necessary to synchronize the time between the Server and the device.
  3. If there is no time synchronization for some IP devices, events of the onboard analytics may work incorrectly in Axxon PSIM.

...

  1. To ensure correct sound recording from Axis IP - cameras when AAC audio codec is used, avoid setting the audio stream bit rate bitrate at 8 or 12 Kb/s, if the digitizing rate is 8 kHz: the bite rate bitrate should be 16, 24, 32, 48 or 64 Kb/s.
  2. To ensure correct sound recording from Sony IP cameras, avoid using G.726 audio codec: use G.711 codec instead.
Note
titleAttention!
It is possible to install update the up-to-date drivers and codecs, taking into account the changed distributive structure, irrespective of the general Axxon PSIM version update.
