This section outlines a provides step-by-step instruction on how to install Axxon PSIM™ software onto a Client workstationfor installing the Axxon PSIM software to the Monitoring Workplace.

To install Axxon PSIM™ softwareas a Clientinstall the Axxon PSIM—Monitoring Workplace software, do the following:

1. Unpack the installation kit as described in the archive downloaded from the official website of the company, in accordance with the manual in the Getting ready for Axxon PSIM installation; the section. The destination folder will show displays the contents content of the distribution kit.
   

2. Run the setup.exe executable file designed to start the the Axxon PSIM™ software PSIM installation procedureprogram.

   When you install Axxon PSIM™ is installed PSIM on the OS Windows 8 and the OS Windows Server 2012 OS , the you must install Microsoft.Net Framework 4 Framework 8.0 or later is to be pre-installed. If the Microsoft.Net Framework 4.0 or later has not been installed, then the warning is displayed. In this case stop installing Axxon PSIM™ and install the Microsoft.Net Framework 4.0 or later. 3. Select the language of the installation program from the list and click the Install buttonChoose the language of Axxon PSIM™ software installation and click Install.

4. Select the Workplace for monitoring installation type of installation.

5. To log all installation events, set the Enable full installation log checkboxSet the Enable full installation log checkbox (increases the time of the software installation) if you want to write all software installation events to the log file.

   While installing and uninstalling the software events are logged to psim.log and Axxon PSIM uninstall.log correspondinglyWhen you install the software, the event logging is performed in the PSIMSetup.log log file. 6. Click the Next button.

7. Set the checkboxes next to the components that are to be installedyou want to install (you can expand the lists by clicking Image Added). Consider the following peculiarities when you select the components:
   1. We recommend installing all provided components—the Axxon PSIM installer sets checkboxes next to everything required for proper operation by default.
   2. To operate in Axxon PSIM, you must install Microsoft.Net Framework 4.0 or later. Usually it is bundled with Windows OS and doesn't require separate installation. If you don't have it, then .Net 4.6 is offered for installation at Prerequisites—make sure to set the checkbox. For more information about Microsoft.Net Framework, see the official documentation at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/.

   All offered components are recommended to be installed.

   1. If this method of language installation isn't suitable, later you can install each language separately (see Installing the language). After the installation, use the tweaki.exe utility to switch languages (see Switching languages in the Axxon PSIM Software System).

8. Click the Install button.
   After that, the automatic installation of the selected components is Click the Install button.

9. Click the Next button.
   The License Agreement dialog box dialog window with the license agreement is displayed.
   
10. Read the License license agreement and accept its terms by setting the switch into the I accept the terms of the License agreement position, otherwise the Axxon PSIM™ PSIM installation will be is stopped.
11. Click the Next button.
    The dialog box of window for selecting the installation mode selection is displayed.
    
12. Select the installation mode.

13. Click the Next button.

    When you select the Custom installation mode is selected, the dialog box of choosing window for selecting the installation folder path is displayed. This step is omitted when When you select the Standard installation mode, this step is selectedomitted.

    

    The Advanced advanced settings dialog box window is displayed.
    

14. If a desktop icon is to be created, necessary, you can create the Axxon PSIM desktop shortcut and set the corresponding checkbox.
15. If a quick launch icon is to be created, necessary, you can create the Axxon PSIM desktop icon in the quick launch toolbar and set the corresponding checkbox.

16. Click the Next button.
    The Ready ready to install dialog box window is displayed.
