The user who does not belong to the “Administrators” Administrators group can work with Axxon PSIM software correctly if the following requirements are fulfilledmet:

  1. UAC (Users account controlUser Account Control) is disabled for Windows 7,  Windows Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 OS10 OS. UAC can be disabled on in the Control panel by Administrator the administrator of the computer.

  5. If the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AxxonSoft\Axxon PSIM\BackupFolder key is in the registry for a 32-bit system (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\AxxonSoft\Axxon PSIM\BackupFolder for a 64-bits bit system), the free access to the folder specified in the BackupFolder the BackupFolder key is to must be granted to the user. For more information on this key please , see Creating the database backup copy.
  6. The free Free access to the following folders is needed if there is no the BackupFolder key:
    1. C:\ProgramData\ – for —for Windows 7 OS;.
    2. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ – for —for Windows XP OS.
  7. The user is to must have SeCreateGlobalPrivilege rights. Open the Local security policy tool window (see step 1) (Control panel -> Administration), select Local policies -> Assign User rights -> Global objects creation, and add the existing user to the folder.
  8. In Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, assign the sysadmin role to the BUILTIN\Users group:

    1. In the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio object explorer, select SecurityLogins.

    2. In the BUILTIN\Users context menu, select Properties.

    3. In the properties, select Server Roles and set the sysadmin checkbox, then click OK.
