The image is compressed to reduce the size of the video stream. Video is not isn't compressed when it is displayed on the Monitor video surveillance monitor of the Serverserver.
An If you increase in the compression rate, it leads to video degradation. Axxon PSIM™ software PSIM compresses video right after its digitizing it is digitized by the video capture card , prior to its before recording and/or before transmitting it via the network to the Remote Workstationsremote workstations.
Video Set the video compression rate is configured for each camera individually.
Axxon PSIM™ system PSIM uses the Quality setting for reverse Discwrite quality (analog camera) parameter for setting the compression rate parameter, which is reverse to the compression rateof the video signal.
In most cases, the default Quality setting is value of the Discwrite quality (analog camera) parameter is sufficient.

The Discwrite quality (analog camera) parameter works only for analog cameras. |
If you want to change the compression rate of the videoTo change the video compression rate, do the following:
To improve the video quality, move the
Discwrite quality (analog camera) slider to the
max position. To reduce the size of the video stream coming from the camera, move the
Discwrite quality (analog camera) slider to the
min.

Axxon PSIM™ software PSIM uses the Motion Wavelet algorithm for video processing and compression. Processed The video that is processed by this algorithm , the video is the sequence of key − and delta frames. A The key frame is a full frame of an image. A The delta frame (differential frame) is an image containing only pixel blocks which that differ from the previous key frame.
The Motion Wavelet algorithm guarantees consistency of a frame video quality regardless of the key frame rate. With an increase of in motion intensity in a the frame, the size of the delta frame is also increased increases, and the quality of the video does not changeremains unchanged. With very intense motion (more than 70% of the frame is engaged), the setting of the key frame rate is ignored, and every each frame is processed as a the key frame.
Axxon PSIM sets the optimal key frame rate value by default: every eighth The best value of frame rate is set by default in Axxon PSIM™ software: every 8th frame is processed as a the key frame. If there are no special requirements to for the video size and quality, it is recommended to keep we recommend keeping the default key frame rate.
To change the key frame rate, do the following:

The video that is processed Processed by this algorithm , the video is the sequence of key −and and delta frames. A The key frame is a full frame of an image. A The delta frame (differential frame) is an image containing only pixel blocks which that differ from the previous key frame. To You can compare the pixel blocks of a the key frame to those of the frame next to that follows the key frame, one by comparing the average brightness of these blocks is compared. If the difference in brightness exceeds a preset the set value, it means that the motion is detected in the block is considered to have fixed motion, and it this block becomes a part of a the delta frame. Otherwise, the block is considered to have it means that there is no motion in the block, and it is not included into isn't included in the delta frame.
Legitimate The legitimate values of pixel block brightness lie within 0-225 range. The block becomes a part of are in the range from 0 to 225. By default, the block is included in the delta frame by default, if the difference between its average brightness in the current frame and in the previous key frame exceeds 7 seven units. If this value is increased, you increase the value of this parameter, it allows reducing the size of the delta frame is decreased, and and, hence, the size of the video stream size is consequently decreased, as a delta frame now contains less pixel blocks, by reducing the number of pixel blocks that form the delta frame. Note that blocks containing the blocks with useful motion data in the frame now are more likely to be excluded from the processed video and consequently there is , which consequently leads to video degradation. So, by reducing If you reduce the value of the parameter setting that sets the criterion for blocks to be included into a including blocks in the delta frame, you may improve the image while building up it allows improving the video quality by increasing its size.
The best optimal value of the parameter , which that sets the criterion for blocks to be included into a including blocks in the delta frame , is defined determined by the brightness gradient of the video background and the moving objects in a frame: with the frame. You can increase the parameter value at a high gradient and decrease the parameter may be increased; with value at a low gradient the parameter value is to be decreased.
