The system restart service is designed to control the workability of operability of the Axxon PSIM software modules and their restart if there is no response during the specified time interval. You can use both the program and the hardware workability operability control.

Note
titleAttention!

The system restart service displays only those Axxon PSIM modules the processes of which are created directly under the Slave Host_client.exe process, which, in its turn, is running under the Psim.exe process Core_server64 process

To control the workability operability of the the RTSP Server module, use the special utility and script, see see The openRTSP.exe utility for checking the RTSP server workability.

The system restart service allows performing the following actions if there is no response from the module:

  1. Restarting Restart a computer (the hardware workability operability control requires the connection of additional devices). In this case, the computer restarts if the Slavethe Host_client.exe process  process isn't active.
  2. Restarting Restart a module. In this case, if there is no response from the module, then only the module that doesn't respond to requests restarts.
  3. Restarting Restart a core. In this case, the Axxon PSIM core restarts if there is no response from the module.
Info
titleNote

When you change the time zone on the computer, the Axxon PSIM core restarts regardless of the settings of the System restart service object. Information about the restart reason is recorded in the Windows system log and in the slave.log file, and the restart counter isn't decremented.

You can configure the system restart service on the settings panel of the the System restart service object. This object is created on the basis of the Computer object on the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog window.
