The Tracker object is designed for motion detection and saving video recordings to registers the object tracks in the camera FOV during recording and saves them in the VMDA metadata storage.

Configure To configure the Tracker object as follows, do the following:

1. Adjust Set the basic settings.
2. Optional: add configure a mask to disable analysis in any part(s) parts of the camera field of viewFOV.
3. Optional: set detected object sizes the size of the detected objects or configure the perspective settings (see Configuring perspective).

1. Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog boxwindow.
2. Select the Camera object in In the objects tree of on the Hardware tab, select the Camera object, corresponding to the camera, the video image from which you want to analyze.
3. Create the Tracker object on the base basis of the Camera object. The settings panel for the created Tracker object appears on the right in part of the Hardware tab.
   

4. Set the Show objects on image checkbox (1) , if you want to frame the objects are to be framed in the Video surveillance window. The frame is shown both on live and archive video, e.g. in Video Surveillance Monitor, Event Viewer, Operator Protocol etcon the video display. The frames are displayed on live video only, for example, in the Video surveillance monitor.

   To enable displaying the display of the objects' tracker ID, you must set the 1 value  for for the DrawDetectorNumbers line parameter in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AxxonSoft\PSIM\Video (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\AxxonSoft\PSIM\Video for 64-bit system) registry. Frame color is adjusted by the DrawDetectorColors parameter in the same registry: When the value is 1, then the frame color is the average one color in the area. When value is 0, then the frame color is white.

5. To allow the VMDA detectors monitoring to monitor the objects abandoned objects in area covered by the camera FOV, set the Abandoned objects detection checkbox (2). See the The video requirements for proper operation of this feature to operate are described in the Video requirements to be met for abandoned object detection tool of the Tracker object operation section, and the settings for VMDA detectors are described in the Creating and configuring the VMDA detection section.

      If you don't want to monitor the objects abandoned in the camera FOV, we recommend disabling the Abandoned objects detectionoption to reduce the load on the server. If you disable this option, the detectors configured to monitor the abandoned objects won't work.

6. If you set the camera is installed on the moving object, then set the the Camera shake removal checkbox (3) to stabilize the image and reduce detector’s errors (3)the error in the detector operation.

7. If the video proportions in the preview window are too distorted on the Tracker mask, Detection parameters, and Perspective tabs is too distorted, set the Show actual video aspect ratio checkbox (4). In this case, the video may not occupy the entire area of the preview window.
8. Go to the Basic settings tab (5).
9. In the Metadata sources table, set the checkboxes next to the objects used for metadata creation (6):
   
   1. Internal source. The resources of the Tracker object itself are used as the metadata source.

   2. Embedded detector. Metadata comes from the detectors embedded in the camera (see Embedded detectors section).

   3. VideoIntellect detector. Metadata comes from VideoIntellect software – see Configuring the integration with VideoIntellect software.

10. Set the value of the Sensitivity parameter by moving the slider to the required position (7). The value of this parameter value corresponds to minimal the minimum value of the moving object’s object's averaged brightness on , upon which the detector will trigger only to generates an event only on its motion, not to the video signal noise (including snow, rain, etc.and so on).

11. Set the Waiting for loss slider into the position corresponding to the time when the object stops moving and during which this object is considered to be active and the detector is still tracking tracks it (8). If the object is motionless for a longer period than the value which has been set, then specified period, the object is considered to be lost.

    To fine-tune the detector of the abandoned objects, use the registry keys (More sophisticated configuration of abandoned objects detection tool is performed using registry keys – see Registry keys reference guide).

12. In the Objects in frame, not no more than field, specify the maximum number of objects in the frame that are detected by the tracker (9). If the number of objects is equal to or exceeds the specified value, then the MD_LIMIT event is generated (see CAM Camera section of Programming Guide for creating scripts (programming)). If you don't set the parameter or it is not set or equal to 0, then this event is not isn't generated.

Tracker mask

To disable analysis in the area covered by that is in the camera FOV, you must click the Set mask button (2) in on the Tracker mask tab (1) and specify and specify the area in the video preview field. Detection parameters

To set the minimal minimum and maximal sizes maximum size of the detected object, do the following:

1. Go to the Detection parameters tab (1).

3. In the Minimal Minimum size group, specify the minimal minimum size of the detected object as a percentage of total image area (3) or click the Configure buttonand specify the size in the video preview area (4).

   Range The range of values of the Minimal Minimum size parameter varies is from 0 to 30% relatively relative to the frame size.

4. In the Maximal Maximum size group, specify the maximal maximum size of the detected object as a percentage of total image area (5) or click the Configure button and specify the size in the video preview area (6).

   Maximal The maximum size is to must be bigger greater than the minimal minimum one and not more greater than 100%. If the maximal maximum size is the same as the minimal, then there is no detection equal to the minimum one, detection isn't performed.
