The main system objects that require preconfiguration for the correct operation of Axxon PSIM are the following:

On the Hardware tab:

  1. Audio card allows configuring the connected audio card.
  2. Camera allows configuring the installed camera and controlling its operation.
  3. Computer is a unique image of each computer that is running Axxon PSIM. This is a parent object for all objects that display the properties of the hardware connected to this computer.
  4. Microphone allows configuring the audio input device of the audio card.
  5. PTZ device allows configuring the connection between a camera and the device that controls its rotation.
  6. Relay allows configuring the installed relay.
  7. Sensor allows configuring the installed sensor.
  8. Telemetry Controller allows configuring the port that connects the PTZ device.
  9. Video capture device allows configuring the connected video capture card or the IP video processing device.

On the Interfaces tab:

  1. Audio player allows configuring microphones and playing back audio signals from them.
  2. Display allows configuring the display of selected interface objects on the computer screen.
  3. Event viewer allows configuring the view of the list of events logged in the security system.
  4. Map allows configuring the control of security devices bound to the map of the protected facility.
  5. Monitor allows configuring video stream display in surveillance windows and setting up the camera control.

On the Users tab:

  1. User permissions allows specifying the set of rules to access system objects.

On the Programming tab:

  1. Area allows dividing the protected facility into areas.
  2. Region allows dividing the areas of the protected facility into regions.
  3. Security zone allows performing the general configuration of Axxon PSIM.
