To configure the Server of Control from another server in a distributed configuration, do the following:
- Go to the settings panel of the Server Of Control object.
Click the button (1). The Data Link Properties window opens. Configure the connection to the remote Server of Control database as follows:

The Database connection string parameter is displayed only if the Server of Control is configured from another server in a distributed configuration.
- Go to the Provider tab. Select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server.
- Go to the Connection tab. From the 1. Select or enter a server name drop-down list, select the name of the database server that stores the Server of Control database (1).
- Set the 2. Enter information to log on to the server switch to the Use a specific user name and password position and enter the name and password to connect to the MS SQL Server (2).
- Set the Allow saving password checkbox (3).
- From the Select the database on the server drop-down list, select the name of the Server of Control database (MonitorSSTV by default) (4).
- Click the Test Connection button (5). If the connection data is correct, a window with the message "Connection check completed" will be displayed.
- Click OK (6).
- Go to the Provider tab. Select Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server.
- The configured string of connection to the Server of Control database will be displayed in the text field (2).
- As a result, you can start configuring the Server of Control (see Configuring Server of Control).
Configuring the Server of Control from another server in a distributed configuration is now complete.
