The video surveillance system based on Axxon PSIM™ software uses Servers to receive and process video signals from analog and IP surveillance cameras. The Server hardware and software platform generally contains:

  1. A personal computer that meets the requirements of Axxon PSIM™ software.
  2. Embedded video capture cards or dongle (Guardant or MatrixLock) that enables receiving video from IP devices only.
  3. Axxon PSIM™ software with the Server configuration (see Installation of Axxon PSIM as a Server/Remote Administrator's workstation).
  4. The license key with rights to use video capture cards or IP devices along with Axxon PSIM™ software.
  5. MS SQL server software for Axxon PSIM™ system database control.
The same set of program modules specified in the psim.sec license key is to be set for proper operation of the system on all Servers (see Program modules section).


Proper operation of Axxon PSIM™ is possible only if the user has OS Windows administrator rights.
