You can transfer an Axxon One license to another computer while maintaining your existing configuration only if:

• Axxon One is licensed with a license file and Guardant dongle binding;
• the type of Axxon One installation is Server and Client;
  

  This manual isn't relevant for the FailOver Server and Client installation type.

• the name of the new Axxon One Server is the same as the name of the old Server;
• the product version (up to and including the build number) on which the backup was made matches the version on the new computer.

To transfer a license, do the following:

1. Save the license file (see Saving the license file).
2. Use the Backup and restore utility to back up the configuration (see Backup and restore utility).
3. Copy the folder with the configuration backup.
4. Uninstall Axxon One on an old computer (see Removal).
5. Install the same version of Axxon One on a new computer as the version that was installed on an old computer (see Installation).
6. Insert the Guardant dongle into a new computer.
7. Use the Backup and restore utility to restore a configuration backup from an old computer (see Backup and restore utility).
8. Restart all Axxon One Servers (see Starting and stopping Axxon One software).

Transfer of the Axxon One license while maintaining the previous configuration is now complete.
