Screen resolution: Correct operation isn't guaranteed at resolutions lower than 1280×960 pixels

• Server and client: The versions of the client and server to which you connect must be the same. We don't recommend you connect if the product versions aren't the same. The versions of installed DetectorPack add-ons must also be the same (see Installing DetectorPack add-ons).
• Version rollback: Rolling back to a previous version isn't allowed.
• OS localization: For proper operation, the operating system must use UTF-8 localization

• Administrator privileges: You must install Axxon One with Windows administrator privileges.
• Installer path: The directory that contains the installer must not contain spaces at the beginning of its name.
• Drivers: Before installation, make sure that your computer is using the latest version of the video card driver

• Server name requirements:
  • It is prohibited to have two servers with the same name on the same local network, even if they belong to different Axxon-domains.
  • Prohibited names: LOCALHOST, LOCAL, TEST, EXAMPLE, INVALID (special-purpose domain names).
  • Only Latin letters, digits, and the - character.
  • Maximum length is 15 characters.
  • If the client name and server name are the same, correct operation isn't guaranteed.
• Network interfaces and IP addresses:
  • Redundant interfaces: The server must not have redundant network interfaces. For correct operation, you must use different IP addresses on all network interfaces or use an interface mask to specify a list of addresses on which the server operates (see Network settings utility). To ensure that the server operates with only one network interface, you must specify its gateway and mask in the network settings utility (see Network settings utility).
  • IP addresses: You must use different IP addresses on all interfaces. Having the same IP addresses on servers causes communication issues.
• Access and ports:
  • Network activity: The system must have no restrictions on network activity between all servers and clients.
  • Ports: If you specified specific ports during installation (see Installation), access to them (TCP/UDP) must be open. Otherwise, access to all ports must be open

• General: Time synchronization between all computers in the system is mandatory (configured by the user).
• With IP devices: Synchronization between the server and the IP device is required if the device's embedded storage is used (see Embedded storage). If you fail to synchronize, events can be written to the database incorrectly

• Remote Desktop (RDP): You cannot start the client on a remote computer using the standard Remote Desktop Connection utility.
• Power saving modes: Hibernation and sleep modes aren't supported. Before putting the computer in these modes, you must stop the server (see Stop the server).
• Active Directory (disk access): If the computer is connected to an AD domain, one of the following conditions must be met to access disks:
  • Disk Access Control Lists (ACL) must contain only local or embedded groups and users.
  • Create an AxxonFileBrowser user in the domain and add it to the Users group (see Installation. This is typical only for the file systems that have access permissions, for example, NTFS)
