To install, upgrade, or modify Axxon One in Linux OS, you must use the programs and commands described in this document. If you use third-party programs, Axxon One can work incorrectly. For more information, see Features and potential problems with Linux OS.

Currently Axxon One has the following limitations in Linux OS:

Utilities
  • The Axxon One Tray Tool utility is unavailable (see Tray Tool utility)
  • The Axxon Player utility isn't supported in Linux OS
DetectorsThe Face detector TV and Face detector VA cannot work in Debian 9
Network restrictions and configuration
  • In one LAN, two servers with the same name are not allowed, even if they belong to different Axxon-domains.
  • If the name of the client computer and the name of the server computer in the LAN are the same, the correct operation of Axxon One isn't guaranteed.
  • You cannot name servers LOCALHOST, LOCAL, TEST, EXAMPLE, or INVALID, as these are special-purpose domain names, and their use can prevent Axxon One from working.
  • Computer name:
    • must contain only Latin letters, digits, and the "-" character;
    • the name length must not exceed 15 characters
