General information

Monitoring PSIM installed as a service (see Installing, restoring, removing of Monitoring PSIM software package) is launched before user authorization in Windows OS and before launching Windows applications (including the Explorer that is used to launch interfaces of both Windows OS and various applications installed on the server).

When you change the active account, the following Monitoring PSIM modules are restarted:

• On the Agent of Control—videosrv.exe.
• On the Server of Control—videosrv.exe and loadersstv.exe.
• On the Central Server of Control—CentralNetServer.exe.

If Monitoring PSIM is installed as a service, and the connection to the database is established using Windows credentials, then to ensure the operation on any user account other than the one who installed Monitoring PSIM, the user must have the appropriate rights to SQL server.

Features of Windows 10 OS

To ensure the correct operation in the service mode on a Windows 10 computer, you must disable fast startup, which saves some system data when shutting down, as this can interfere with the service loading correctly.

1. Go to Control Panel → All Control Panel Items → Power Options.
2. In the left menu, select Choose what the power buttons do.
3. In the settings window that opens, click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
4. Clear the Turn on fast startup (recommended) checkbox.
5. Click the Save changes button.
