If the strength of the microphone signal, while being armed, exceeds the threshold, recording starts. Otherwise, the microphone is armed, and recording starts when the predefined threshold level of the microphone signal is exceeded. The current status of the recording process is indicated by the microphone indicator (see Indicator of audio recording).
