To work with the Protege integration module, you must install and configure the AxACFA feature. For more details, see Connecting and configuring the AxACFA feature.
To configure the connection of the Protege integration module, do the following:
- Create the Protege parent object on the basis of the Axacfa object on the Hardware tab of the System settings window.
- In the Address field, specify the full URL address of the Protege GX (web service) manufacturer's software in the http://<IP address of the Protege GX server>:<port>/ProtegeGXSOAPService/service.svc format (for example, http://10.0.11.191:8030/ProtegeGXSOAPService/service.svc).
Note
- This address is the endpoint of the web service through which Axxon PSIM interacts with the access control system. Make sure that the specified port (the default 8030 port is frequently used) is opened and available from the Axxon PSIM server.
- If you specify only the IP address without the full path to the web service, it turns out to be insufficient and can lead to the connection error.
- In the Login field, specify the name of the user to authorize in the Protege GX manufacturer's software.
Note
- We highly recommend using the separate user created directly in the Protege GX software with the explicitly specified password for connection.
- We don't recommend using the embedded admin account without a password for connection. In some configurations, it can lead to the Server not connected connection error even if the IP address is specified correctly.
- In the Password field, specify the user password to authorize in the Protege GX manufacturer's software.
- Click the Apply button to save the settings.
- Click the Download configuration button to download the configuration and build the hardware tree. A hardware tree is built:
Configuring the connection of the Protege integration module is complete.
