The layout defines the number and location of windows on the monitor. To change the location of windows on the monitor, drag them with the mouse. The operator can compose custom window layouts if he (she) is given permissions they are given rights to control the Monitor object.
To control the layout, use the menu, called up by the Screens Displays button on the video monitor tools panel.

Creating and deleting layouts
To develop a new layout:
- Click the Screens button Displays button on the video monitor.
- Select the Add option in the menu.
- Enter the name of the new layout in a dialog box.

To select a layout, click its name in the list. To delete an existing layout, use the Delete menu command.

If the Overlay 1 mode is chosen during the system setup , and the monitor displays six surveillance windows, the surveillance windows layout cannot be changed. Changing the location of windows on the monitor with a mouse can also be prohibited by the DisableReplaceCam registry key – see key—see Registry keys reference guide. |
The Add and Delete functions may not be available options can be unavailable depending on the permissions user rights (see Restriction of administration, control, and monitoring rights).
Default layouts
The Screens Displays menu also allows assigning default layouts. The default layout will be displayed when Axxon PSIM is launched. Use the UseDefaultLayoutOnlyAtStartup registry key to display the default layout each time the corresponding screen with the Video surveillance monitor is displayed (see Registry Keys Reference Guide).
Select Screens - Displays → Set by default, then select a layout to be set by default.
