To create the Hands up detector, do the following:

Create the Human pose detector (see Configuring the Human pose detector).
Below the Human pose detector, click Create… → Hands up detector.

By default, the Hands up detector generates an event if there is a person with both hands raised in a specified area.

If necessary, you can change the detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

Basic settings

	One hand	Select this value if you want the detector to generate an event only when a person has either left or right hand raised
	Only left	Select this value if you want the detector to generate an event only when a person has one selected hand raised
	Only right
	Left hand	Select this value if you want the detector to generate an event only when a selected hand is raised
	Right hand
Number of measurements in a row to trigger detection	2	Specify the minimum number of frames with a person with a hand/hands raised for the detector to generate an event. The value must be in the range [1, 20]. The recommended (default) value is 2. Increasing the value can help eliminate false events , but increases the risk of skips. Decreasing the value can help reduce skips, but increases the probability of false events

If necessary, you can configure the detection area. For this, do the following:

Click in the preview window.
Select Detection area.
Using the anchor points Image Added, set the detection area in which a person with both hands raised must be detected.

The Hands up detector works in the areas for detection and skip areas specified in the Human pose detector (see Configuring the Human pose detector).
For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the

Image Removed

Image Added button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
The area for detection is displayed by default. To hide it, click the

Image Added button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
To delete the detection area, click the Image Added button.

To save the parameters of the detector, click the Apply Image Removed buttonApply Image Added button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel Image Removed buttonCancel Image Added button.

Configuration of the Hands up detector is complete.
