The external map Map server corresponds to the source from which the Axxon PSIM Map layer receives images for the layer substratebackground.

Configure the external map Map server as follows:

1. Create the Map server object under on the basis of the Computer object on the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog box (1).

2. In the Client port field (2), enter the port value. By default, the port value is 2413.
3. In the Tile Serverserver field (3), enter a link to an the external map (2). By default, a link to the OpenStreetMap free OpenStreetMap map is set : http://tile.openstreetmap.org.
   
4. Click the Apply button (34).

LaterWhen creating a layer, select this map the Map server as the background when creating a Map Layer – see Creating the layers of the interactive map.
