This type of search allows you Events search is used to select events in the archive based on the type of event. For correct operation of the events search, the following is required:

• Access permissions to search in the archive (see Role).
• A detector that is configured and connected to the camera (see Detectors).

To search for events, do the following:

1. Open the required layout (see Configuring layouts).
2. Select the required camera.
3. Click the Search button in the lower right corner of the surveillance window (see Search in archive).
4. Set a search interval (see Setting a search interval).
5. Click the Image Added button.
6. Select Events search. 
7. Specify the search criteria listed in the table:
   

   Criterion	Value	Description

   Event type		Select the required event type from the drop-down list
   	Recording start	The search finds the beginning and end of recordings from the specified camera regardless of the initiator
   	Detector triggers	The search finds moments when detectors generated events

From the Event type drop-down list, select the type of events that you want to find.

    To search in the embedded storage of an IP device (for example, a camera or recorder) for events from the embedded detectors, you must synchronize the server and IP device (see

41. Axxon One requirements). If you don't perform synchronization, there can be discrepancies between the time of detector events and the time of frames in the archive.

Once started, you
