To edit the external settings file, open it using the File -> Open menu. This file is stored in the root of the Axxon PSIM installation folder.

Note

To open the recently used file, select the Last files item in the File menu or open the context menu on the Names tab.

Note

The Paste from file item in the File menu allows opening several files by adding objects described in other ddi files to the opened ddi file.

The external settings file contains the information about objects and events loaded into the system configuration, graphic icons of different object states on the map, and the object transfer rules from one state to another.

You can edit the external settings file for the software localization or for expanding/limiting its functionality (for example, to remove the unused objects from the system).

Note

If you change the external settings file, it can lead to system failure. You must create the backup copy of the editable file before working with it.
After you make changes, update the database.
