General settings of export consist of:
Export period (1). It is specified in the Export period from and to fields. When the utility is launched, the period is set depending on the initial conditions described in the table:
Copying of the Axxon Player Portable to the export folder is set in the Player (2) radio button group:
Note
This setting is only available in the extended mode of the Export dialog box. Click → in the bottom right corner to display it. If it is not displayed in the extended mode, then it is hidden using the AviShowPlayerSection registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).
Note
The export of more than 10 streams in the EXE file works as follows:
Suppose that the following set of streams is exported: 11 different cameras (camera numbers 1-11) where one video stream and two caption streams (camera number and time) are loaded for each camera, and one audio stream is loaded for cameras 1 and 11.
Once the streams are divided into groups based on the camera, the stream groups are added into a file as long as the file has space for it (the file includes only 10 streams). The remaining groups are added into the file until all stream groups are allocated to the files. The files are named the same, but with a prefix number at the beginning: 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-...
The streams from the example are exported in the following way:
File 1: video stream by camera 1 + audio stream by camera 1 + two title streams by camera 1, video stream by camera 2 + two title streams by camera 2, video stream by camera 3 + two title streams by camera 3. Ten streams in total in the 1-AxxonPSIMExport 2025-02-24 11-55-37_279 [1m5s].exe file.
File 2: video stream by camera 4 + two caption streams by camera 4, video stream by camera 5 + two caption streams by camera 5, video stream by camera 6 + two caption streams by camera 6. Nine streams in total in the 2-AxxonPSIMExport 2025-02-24 11-55-37_279 [1m5s].exe file.
File 3: video stream by camera 7 + two title streams by camera 7, video stream by camera 8 + two title streams by camera 8, video stream by camera 9 + two title streams by camera 9. Nine streams in total in the 3-AxxonPSIMExport 2025-02-24 11-55-37_279 [1m5s].exe file.
File 4: video stream by camera 10 + two title streams by camera 10, video stream by camera 11 + audio stream by camera 11 + two title streams by camera 11. Seven streams in total in the 4-AxxonPSIMExport 2025-02-24 11-55-37_279 [1m5s].exe file.
Adding captions to video image. If the Add captions checkbox (3) is set, then video is exported with captions saved in the captions database. Features of adding captions:
Select a folder for export using the button next to the Folder for writing field (5). The Open button is used for going to the specified folder in the Windows Explorer.
Specifics of a folder selection:
The specified path to the export folder will be applied to the ExportDir registry key located in HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\AxxonSoft\Axxon PSIM\Video\AviExport (see Registry keys reference guide). Please note that the same path will be used to save video recordings exported from the Monitor or an archive period (see Export and print out).
If a CD or a DVD is selected as export destination (see The size of the exported file), the Burn a Disc dialog box will appear. Enter the disc title and set the switch to Like a USB flash drive.
Below is an example of the selected folder contents after export (see Starting export) with the Add captions checkbox is set (with captions saved in a separate file) and the Comment field is filled in:
