Attention!

  • For automatic update, you must start the Axxon One client as an administrator (local administrator on the computer with the client).
  • Automatic update of the Axxon One client isn't possible if the Axxon One server is installed on the same computer. In this configuration, you must start the update manually (see Update).
  • Automatic update is only possible if the client version is older than the server version.

When the remote client connects to the Axxon One server, their versions are automatically compared. If the server version is higher than the client version, the system prompts you to update the client. After you confirm the update process, the client automatically downloads the required distribution package from the server. The client update process begins. If necessary, the DetectorPack (see Installing DetectorPack add-ons) and Drivers Pack (see Drivers Pack Update) modules are updated as well. During the update, a computer restart can be required. The restart occurs automatically (or confirmation is required, depending on the OS version and settings). After a successful update, the client starts automatically.
